Commercial License
When you need a commercial license
Section titled “When you need a commercial license”You need a Cosmictron commercial license if all of the following apply:
- Your production deployment exceeds 10,000 concurrent agent sessions, AND
- Your organization’s Annual Revenue is $5 million USD or more
You also need a commercial license, regardless of scale or revenue, if any of the following apply:
AGPL incompatibility
Section titled “AGPL incompatibility”You cannot or do not want to comply with AGPL 3.0 requirements, which include:
- Open-sourcing any modifications to Cosmictron
- Open-sourcing any service or product that incorporates Cosmictron and is offered to third parties (AGPL §13 “remote interaction” clause)
- Distributing source code alongside any binary you deploy
Embedded or OEM distribution
Section titled “Embedded or OEM distribution”You are distributing Cosmictron as part of a proprietary product.
What the commercial license grants
Section titled “What the commercial license grants”A Cosmictron commercial license removes the AGPL copyleft requirements and permits:
- Proprietary use and modification without source disclosure
- SaaS products built on Cosmictron without triggering §13 obligations
- Embedded/OEM distribution in proprietary products
- Priority support SLAs
- Access to enterprise features: SSO, compliance packs, air-gap deployment packages, audit export integrations
Pricing
Section titled “Pricing”Pricing is not publicly listed. Commercial licenses are negotiated based on:
- Organization size and revenue
- Deployment scale (number of concurrent sessions)
- Support tier required
- Contract term

Managed cloud
Section titled “Managed cloud”Cosmictron managed cloud (hosted instances) is a separate commercial offering with per-node-hour pricing and a free tier for developers. Managed cloud pricing will be published when the beta launches.
